Week One: Minerve, France
The town of Minerve is in the Languedoc region of south-western France, a few miles north of the Mediterranean Sea. It is similar to, but much lesser-known than, the Provence region. Minerve has about 50 people, three restaurants (all good...one spectacular), one small hotel, lots of good inexpensive ($3-$4) wine, and the home of Asa Johansson, a friend of our neighbors, Bill and Karen Sykes.

The cobblestone street going down to Asa's house...the whole town looks picturesque and quaint like this.

Sylvia at the old lookout tower at the north end of town.

Karen, Bill, Sylvia, and Ted relaxing in the garden...we usually did this with a lot of the marvelous cheap local wine.
Week Three: Lucerne, Switzerland
